About us
The Troy Historic Preservation Alliance (THPA) is a non-profit organization focused on safeguarding the historic treasures of our community. Established in 2018 as a grassroots initiative to successfully protect the former Trinity Lutheran Church, we have since become a 501c3 organization dedicated to preserving Troy's vibrant history.
Importance of Historical Preservation
Preserving history safeguards our cultural heritage and connects us to our past. It helps future generations understand their roots, fosters a sense of identity, and preserves the stories that shape our communities. Historic buildings, landmarks, and artifacts are irreplaceable treasures that bring history to life.
Community Involvement
Communities are at the heart of successful historical preservation efforts. When local voices come together, preservation becomes more meaningful and sustainable. Community involvement ensures that projects reflect the values and stories of the people they serve.
Your Voice Matters
Every individual has a role to play in shaping the legacy of their community. Sharing ideas, supporting initiatives, and advocating for historical preservation ensures that everyone's perspective contributes to a shared vision. Your voice matters in keeping history alive!
