In March of 2024, THPA held its first annual Palette of Preservation Art Auction fundraiser. Items donated included beautiful , unique works of art from local artisans ranging from paintings, drawings, photographs, mixed media pieces, as well as a beautiful bowl by famed Ukranian - American artist Aka Pereyma. The success of the auction showed us that there was an opportunity for THPA to provide a showcase for local artists, celebrate our community and raise awareness and funds for historic preservation projects in the area. 

 

In 2025, our second auction was held in October, and again included a variety of artists' works as well as beautiful arrangements from local florists. The preview / opening day of the auction was hosted at the Troy Hayner Cultural Center, where attendees enjoyed piano music and light refreshments. As in the prior year, bidders were able to make bids while in attendance and online at our palette of preservation website:  art4thpa.betterworld.org.  We were honored to raise funds for the restoration of the Overfield Tavern Museum, which suffered severe damage and destruction of artifacts in a fire in December of 2024.​
